Engine maintenance work continues on the Harley Davidson that forms part of The American Dreams exhibition. Volunteers Dave Flanagan and Ian Reed know this vehicle very well and are taking good care of it. Contact has been made with resources in the USA, with a view to obtaining accurate mechanical data to ensure the job is carreid out accurately.
The Duo-Glide was new for 1958 and was a significant technological advance for the American manufacturer at the time, introducing proper rear suspension. The ‘Glide Ride’ as it became known was the bike to have at the time.
