Visitors to Haynes International Motor Museum’s Minis and Micros gallery this February may notice a small change to the exhibition.

The cutaway Mini is about to embark on a mini adventure, travelling overseas to take part in the prestigious Rétromobile at the Porte de Versailles, Paris.

Rétromobile is joining forces with Haynes International Motor Museum, the National Motor Museum of Beaulieu and Transports Prevost to ensure their 60 years of Mini theme incorporates some truly defining marques from the Mini brand. As stated on their website, this year’s show celebrates “…the 60th anniversary of the most admired English girl in the world: the Mini.”

The rare cutaway Austin Mini; which has been cut lengthways, is part of Haynes International Motor Museum’s core collection and will be on display to the press and the public at the show on 6-10 February 2019. Visit https://www.retromobile.com/ for more information.

London bound.

The cutaway Mini’s adventure doesn’t stop there. On 14-17 February the cutaway is back on British roads and joins the Museum’s Workshop and Restoration team at The London Classic Car Show.

Established as one of the UK’s best classic car events, the cutaway Mini will be right at home as one of four significant featured vehicles from Haynes International Motor Museum’s collection. Visit https://www.excel-london.co.uk/ for more information.
