Record beating

17th Nov 2016

Part of the educational experience for Primary Schools is looking at how the sizes of cars vary from country to country.  In the late 1950’s when this country was in the middle of the Suez Crisis and petrol was in short supply, we were making cars that were smaller and more economic to run, hence the iconic Mini. At the same time, in the USA, obtaining petrol was no problem and perhaps one of the biggest cars to be made at this time was the Cadillac.  During our education visits we give schools a challenge – just how many children can you get into a Cadillac?  Milford School in Yeovil proved more than ready for this challenge and actually set a new record with 31 children!
